CASEplorations February

Happy first of the month and welcome to the first installment of our new feature at STAMPlorations! It's time for fun. It's CASEplorations time.

You  may recall reading about CASEplorations when Shery introduced the Inspiration Design Team. Since we are going to be inspiring you to play with your stamps, CASEing our creations, we decided we should do some CASEing too. So on the first of every month you will see this feature, a CASEplorations post, where some of the STAMPlorations DT girls CASE a card and share it with you. You never know - it might even be your card we choose to CASE!

Ready? Here we go.

Meet this lovely, put-a-smile-in-your-heart clean and simple card made by the one and only Julie Ebersole of "Hello, Monday" fame over at the Ellen Hutson Classroom.

Source: Julie Ebersole

I (Maria) love Julie's work because there is always a cool technique or a touch of something unexpected in it. On this card that bunch of gold thread is the "unexpected".

So what do you do to CASE a card? Well, taken literally, CASE means "Copy And Share Everything". Hmm. Let's take it a little less literally, shall we? If you look at Julie's card and then look away, what elements of the card do you remember? Lots of white space. A pink cupcake. Gold thread. Black banner/splatters. Gold sequins. Doodled lines.

So what kind of card do you create when you CASE it? Well ask nine designers, get nine different answers! And that, my friends, is the beauty of CASEing :) Let's see what everyone created.

Be sure to visit the DTs blogs too, for an explanation of each girl's CASEploration of Julie's card.

And as you might also recall from the Inspiration Design Team introductory post, we would love for you to do some CASEploration too!

All you have to do is choose a card to CASE - from this CASEplorations post or one of the DTs cards from the Inspiration Project Posts (which will post on the 2nd and 4th Mondays and Fridays of the month). CASE the card. Link it up to the Inspiration CASE Playground gallery below which will be open for a whole month. Everyone is welcome to play using any supplies. The best CASEs will be highlighted and one random winner will receive a prize.

Fun, yes?
